Hello! I’m Carolyn.
I’m an LPCA (Licensed Professional Counselor Associate) practicing under supervision. I provide trauma-informed, adoption-competent mental health counseling to adults in South Carolina through secure telehealth.
I specialize in working with adoptees and adults impacted by adoption-related experiences, including identity concerns, grief and loss, attachment wounds, relational challenges, and complex trauma. My approach is grounded in compassion, safety, and respect, and I strive to create a space where your story is honored and your experiences make sense.
As an adoptee myself, I bring both personal and professional understanding to this work. In addition to my clinical training, I have volunteer and advocacy experience supporting adoptees and adoptee-centered reform efforts. This perspective informs my commitment to providing care that is informed, affirming, and responsive to the unique needs of adopted adults.
I also offer Brainspotting, a brain-based, trauma-focused modality that can help process and resolve deeply held emotional and physiological experiences. Whether you’re seeking support related to adoption, trauma, or life transitions, my goal is to walk alongside you as you move toward healing, integration, and greater self-understanding. You can learn more about Brainspotting here.
I’m looking forward to speaking with you!
